It's a device that reads eon cards.

It's an apparatus for the Game Boy Advance that scans cards.

An E-Reader is a scanner device that works most effectively when used in tandom with the original GameBoy Advance. You use E-Reader scan cards, which you slide through it, to allow you to play all sorts of games, retro and mundane, or sometimes it will upgrade your position in a game.
