No, you can't trade with gold version, you can only trade from the games Firered, Leafgreen, Ruby, and Emerald.

Simple input:
You can't

Tecnicle input:
Gold, Crystal, Silver, Blue, Red, and Yellow are all gameboy color games. There for what ever system you put them in the game can not read the link cord. So in conclusion gameboy color games cannot read an advanced links and gameboy advanced games cannot read links for gameboy color. :^)
