cloning cheat

You can only do it whilst trading Pokemon with a friend. Here's what you do:

1. Make sure that both you and your friend have five or less Pokemon in each of your parties before beginning the trade.

2. Select the Pokemon you want to clone and trade it.

3. When it shows the two Pokemon travelling past each other, wait until they are PRECISELY in the middle (and thus directly opposite each other - I think there will be a brief flash when they do) and turn off your GBA (your friend can also do this if he/she wants to clone his/her pokemon) when they hit this point.

4. Turn your GBA back on. You should still have the Pokemon in your party, but your friend will also have one. However, your timing needs to be very precise, so don't worry if this takes a couple of attempts.

The only cloning cheat I know of is the one for the Battle Frontier in Pokemon Emerald. To do this, go to the Battle Tower and deposit the Pokemon you want cloned in an empty PC box, then log out and save. Then, withdraw your Pokemon and go to the lady closest to the PC. Enter a Link Battle (open level or level 50, doesn't matter.) Submit two elligible Pokemon (not the Pokemon you want cloned.) When you're asked to save, turn off the game or soft-reset (A+B+Start+Select.) Then, you should have one of that Pokemon in your party and another in your box. Note: Don't turn off when the lady asks you if you want to save. Say yes to her and the game should freeze for a second. This is your game saving saving for you. Another Note: Attempt this at your own risk. Practice with taillows or something. I lost a level 75 Gengar on my first try.
