Do I have to trade my kadabra to make him into an alakazam or is there another way?please help?

Guess you have to trade him just like machoke
And gravler

There are a few Pokemon that can only evolve if and only if you trade them. They include Kadabra, Machoke, Gravler, and a few others. So get with a friend to trade your Kadabra to. Then, get them to trade it back to you. Thus, you have an Alakazam.
