Go to lillycove and talk to the guy who says he is from kanto three times then go to route 121 and search for latios it should turn up and then use a ultra ball and hold down l are a b until the first shake then let go and you should have it.

So you want to know how to catch Latios, huh? Here's a suggestion, have a Pokemon with you that has the move Mean Look so Latios can't excape. Have them in the first spot of your team, so you don't have to wait a turn switching out. Both Latias and Latios excape every chance they have. Either try what I said or use your Masterball on the Pokemon if not already used.

Ahhh....Latios....such a little pain in the rear...well,there are several methods
1).Wobuffet's Shadow Tag Ability prevents Latios from running away
2).Nosepass' Block has the same ability as Wobuffet
3).Golbat's/a Ghost Type's Mean Look attack(it will prevent it from escaping!)
Then,whittle down it's health,have the Timers/Ultras/(reccommended)Master Ball at the ready!

Well, Latios is a hard Pokemon to catch since he runs away from every battle that he is encountered with. In order for you to catch the legendary Pokemon, Latios, you will need to head to the Desert located north of Maulville City. After you arrive in the desert, catch the Pokemon named Trapinch, he will be very helpful in catching Latios. Trapinch's ability is called Arena Trap, and what it does is stop Pokemon from running away in battle while Trapinch is out in battle. A very useful ability isn't it? Since he can no longer run away from battle, all that is left for you to do is to weaken him, and catch him with an ultraball.

If you look around a lot any where he is guarenteed to come up. To catch him get a trapinch and use it in the battle so he can't escape.
