First you have to have a Pokemon that knows dive. When you do go inside a room on the ship, it has a water space in it, surf on that then dive.

So now you're under the boat in water, keep going until you see a space where you can go through, keep going and the you will find a space where you can use dive again. You will be in another room on the ship. Now go in each room (you need like 2 keys, you will get them in the rooms).

Have an itemfinder, use it. When you go into each room it will sparkle, those sparkles are items or trash, stand where the sparkle was a click to get the item. you will eventually get the scanner.

THE REWARD FROM THE GUY WILL BE DEEPSEATOOTH, AND SOMETHING ELSE I CAN'T REMEMBER.
