Question for Pokemon Sapphire

I have come across Latias no end of times and I have got a Sableye and a Golbat to use mean look but he always flees before I can use him.

Ii managed to put him to sleep once but he ran straight away, it still says sleep when I bump into him.
I really can't catch it and its doing my head in.

WHAT SHALL I DO !?

Hi, there are two things you can try. firstly try equiping your Sableye with a quick claw, or alternitavely use a Wobbuffet which has shadow tag as a special ability (prevents escape).

Neither are ideal but there's nothing else you can do apart from saving your Master Ball.

If your Sableye is level 39, you should give your it 10 carbos "Pokemon inhancers" to boost it's speed higher than Latias's.

Try making your Sableye and Golbat's speed higher by leveling up or feeding it carbos. Latias will retain any damage or status conditions from previous battles.

Try using a Masterball if you have one. If you don't you'll have a harder time, but don't give up.

You could always put a Trapinch with Arena Trap as it's Special Ability or a Wynaut or Wobbuffet that has Shadow Tag as it's Special Ability, so that when you encounter Latias, it can't run away.

Well, you could try having one of them in the front with the first move they should do is meanlook. Or use the master ball if you have it .

HINT: Try not to use Golbat because he is vulnerable to Latias's psycic attacks.

Ok, all you have to do is find her and weaken her once, she will probably run away. Do this until her health is in the red then get a Wobbuffet and find Latias thanks to Wobbuffets special ability "shadow tag" Latias won't be able to run then use Ultra Balls and Timer Balls (if you dont have a Masterball) I caught mine with a Timer Ball.
