How do you get berries? And where are they?

Go to Berry Forest(and bring a Pokemon that knows knock off) and when you see a Pokemon use knock off.

You find berries underground, they are normally in visibily darker spots (e.g. On your way to saffron up from vermillion there are two patches on either side of the building you walk through to get to saffron)
