Well perhaps you were not close enough with the Wireless adaptor.

What are you trying to Trade with? Unless you're trading with another FR/LG-which you didn't need to fix the machine to do, you'll need to go with a cable to trade with anything other than Emerald (Ruby, Sapphire, or GameCube to GBA cable for Colosseum or XD), and you must've beaten the E4 to trade with Emerald-that's the only one you can use the Wireless with though, so I have no clue why anyone would answer your question with an answer like your wireless wasn't close enough (you would've been told that you weren't receiving anything or realized it pretty soon!), it doesn't make a lot of sense to me at all. You need to find the lady at the end who does the cable trading and the cable should do the trick-are you sure you were in the right place? What exactly happened when you tried to trade-did it give you a message or anything? Usually it'll tell you what's wrong. I hope you weren't trying to trade Wirelessly with R/S, as that would be just silly-they aren't wireless abled! If you were trying to trade with Emerald, wireless or not, you'd still need to have beaten Emerald, too. Or maybe you thought the "machine" was how to do the trade somehow? If so, then you're just mistaken, and need to find someone with another Pokemon game and get a cable or something! Or get another game and GBA or a GameCube game and trade with yourself-this can be pretty cheap if you go with all used stuff, especially an older GBA, (not sp!)which will work perfectly for that, as will used cables and games! That's what I've always done when I didn't need to get something from someone else's game or want to trade with someone or couldn't wait for someone to be around to trade with!
