Yes. This sometimes happens with Ditto.

Yes you can they wont breed if the old man says 'It seems as though the prefer to play with other Pokemon,' or something like that.

Yes. Even if they don't like each other they can still breed, although it isint really going to happen too often. If you use a Ditto you will have the best results.
