Sounds to me like a glitch with your game. You could always ditch your Golbat.

Dude Golbat evolves into Crobat just let it Evolve!

You got to have a National Dex. Finish the Pokemon League and have at least 60 different Pokemon. Then Prof. Oak gives you an National Dex.

Golbat evolves into crobat if it devolops a friendship with you my friend got one because he said that you have to be nice to it and can't let it die in battle

There is no glitch in the game. If a Golbat likes it owner alot, when it grows a level it will Evolve into Crobat.

Crobat is a new Pokemon,at least on firered, once you get a National Pokedex he will Evolve; this happened to me

You have to have the National Pokedex to make it Evolve. To get it have more than 60 Pokemon and go to Pallet Town. Go to oak and he will give you and your Rival the national dex. Then you can catch the Pokemon from johto.

First check that it is not holdng a everstone
Next make sure you arenot pressing the B button when your golbat is evolving
And also golbat evolves only when he likes you alot so give him items so that he likes you (items like protein or carbos)

Thats pretty freaky unless your holding down B the whole time, or maybe it's trying to Evolve but you don't have the national dex to get a crobat

Your golbat is not evolving because of time of day but because you have cared for it alot and now it's evolving bcause of it's happiness with you.to put it simple, it's evolving because it loves you. Also it stops because you hit the b button don't do that if you want it to Evolve

If It Evolved And All You Had Was The Pokedex The Pokedex Wood Be Going Haywire And Probably Be Saying That Caterpie Evolves In To Blastoise And Then It Evolves To Sikploom

It does Evolve. Into Crobat, it's not a glitch, especily if you have a National Pokedex. Golbats are weak untill they evolve into Crobat... Don't release it or anythong; Crobats are rare.

Your golbat is going to Evolve when: a- you have the national dex, and b- when it is holding the soothe bell.
It then becomes a crobat(obviously).

Okay first off did you catch 60 Pokemon yet? If you have go talk to Pro. Oak and he will give you it. Raise the Golbat up another level and it will Evolve into Crobat because of your friendship with it.

Now if you haven't don't panic just look on your Pokedex and fing where there areas are (trust me it really helps!) to catch 60 different pokemon.

Now the Cerulean Cave you must go and find the Ruby and Sapphire for Celio the Ruby is found when you are going to Mt. Ember turn to the right and battle the Rockets and enter the Cave search through the cave and find the Ruby okay.

The Sapphire is longer and harder to get. Look somewhere on one of these pages someone has directions (in detail) to get the Ruby and Sapphire.

Do you have a National Pokedex because if you don't none of the johto or hoen Pokemon will evovle. The way to get the national Pokedex is to beat the E4 and get 60 or more Pokemon and then talk to proffesor oak and he will ask for a favor and he will take yours and your rivals pokedexs and upgrade them. Ohh yeah you have to of beaten the gym on Cinnabar Island to get the tri pass too. Then just level the Golbat up 1 level and watch it Evolve.
