You cannot travel to Hoenn, but you can Trade back and forth to there once you get the Ruby and Sapphire key items on the Sevii Islands quest and give them to Celio on One Island.

You can't get to Hoenn in either of these game sorry. Or you can't get to Johto before you ask.

Ummm...well you could either buy the Game Pak that has Hoenn (I think I spelled it wrong too!) in it or you could just stick with this answer-you can't.
