Question for Pokemon FireRed

How Come when I do mystery gift, the only options I get are wonder cards and news?

Also why doesnt the wireless adapter ever connect when I do mystery gift?

Is it because I beat the Elite 4 and got Rainbow pass and he didn't????

HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!

You need to link up with someone, pick friend either in Wonder Cards or Wonder News, and you're good to go.
