Well... if this is Groudon you're talking about...
There's a reason why people give such specific movesets to groudon... more precisely these moves:
Earthquake
Eruption
Solarbeam
These three can maximize Groudon's effectiveness, being a physical biased 00ber, as you can see Earthquake complements Groudon's enormous atk Strength, also giving it STAB.
Eruption and Solarbeam takes care of Groudon's weaknesses - grass, ice and water respectively.
There are lots of opinion as to what Groudon should learn for its last move, but the 4th move doesn't really matter, if Groudon is up against a potential fatal battle, there isn't a move that it can learn to save itself from fainting =S (I normally say Bulk up, but thats useless against something that can kill Groudon)
Keep in mind that all moves are potentialy useful if used on the right pokemon with the right set of moves.
Toxic, for example, would be useless on Groudon... as Toxic doesn't recieve bonuses of any kind, it just badly poisons the foe... it's best to give toxic to pokemon with high defensive stats who can last the battle, and don't have much atk stats to throw punches with (eg shuckle with toxic... )
I hope this clears somethings up about movesets for ya... you're welcome to ask if you're confused about what I said.
Frank
