Question for Pokemon FireRed

I need to clear up some stuff on my question. You can't trade 3rd Generation games with 1st & 2nd Generation games. I'll say it in a way that you people will understand better.

You cant trade pokeomn in Ruby/Sapphire/Fire Red/Leaf Green/Emerald (3rd generation games) with R/B/Y/G/S/C (1st & 2nd generation). If you dont believe me, try it. So I'll ask again.

Can the light ball be found in Fire Red/Leaf Green or do you need to trade a pokemon holding it into Fire Red/Leaf Green?

First of all you CAN Trade between Pokemon Fire Red, Leaf Green, Ruby and Sapphire. I'm not sure about Emerald though. Ok READ CAREFULLY there are 2 conditions to trade between, as you put it, 1st and 3rd generations. One is to do with Fire red and Leaf green, the other equipment you own.

(1) You must have (A) Beaten the Pokemon League at least once. (B) You must have caught 60 Pokemon in your Pokedex and got the national dex from Proffessor Oak. (C) You must have got and given the Ruby and Sapphire to Bills freind Celio (look at the questions above yours to find where to get them).

(2) You must have a link CABLE not wire less adaptor and then try to Trade.

I don't know if you can buy a ligh ball but if you can then you need to buy it, if you can't, Trade it from Pokemon colosseum
