Well, congratulations on actually finding the Itemfinder, a lot of people cannot locate the Itemfinder themselves, so I have to applaud you. Alright, as an answer to your question, I will tell you that you can use the Itemfinder just about anywhere in the game. You can use the Itemfinder in wild Grassy areas, in dark caves, in forests and wooded areas, and just about everywhere else that is outside. You can even use the Itemfinder inside in some places. Here is how you actually use the Itemfinder. Go to where you think there might be a hidden item, and press the Start button to bring up the menu. Go to Bag, and bring up the menu where it shows all of your key items. Scroll down the menu till you see the Itemfinder and select it. If it beeps rapidly, then you know that an item is nearby, if not, then you should try searching somewhere else. Since you are just starting off, here is a hint to a hidden item. There is a hidden Rare Candy in the backyard of a house in Cerulean City. Good luck!
