Question for Pokemon Emerald
Yeah so I'm at the last gym leader and my Pokemon suck in the level. And I was wondering when I will be able to trade from my fire red version I already beat the game but can I trade to emerald before the elite 4.

Nope, sorry. You need to have the machine fixed in FR (not just beat the E4), and then you must beat the E4 in Emerald to trade with it. You can, however, trade with Ruby & Sapphire as soon as the trading place is open.

You need to beat the league, you also need to beat the league in fire red and got the two gems aswell before you could trade.

You need to get the Ruby and Sapphire plates in Fire Red, and beat the E4 and get the National Dex in both games before you can trade between them. So, find a good training spot so you can get your levels in the late 40's and early 50's.

In Emerald, you must defeat the Elite 4 and get the National Dex before trading to FireRed or LeafGreen.

If you have, the Ruby and Sapphire, in Fire Red, then you can trade.

Uh, Espeon Dude-I have the same answer you do that the machine needs to be fixed in FR, except I put in an extra fact that is that you CAN trade between Emerald and R/S/E as soon as the trade place opens up in Emerald, pretty much right away(need your Pokedex 1st)-I'm doing it right now! I have an extra Emerald with only 6 badges, and I can trade in/out from Ruby, Sapphire, or another Emerald with ease, as long as the Pokemon's not from outside the Hoenn Pokedex. I know it was a question about FR, but maybe he's got Ruby or Sapphire or knows someone who does. You can trade records after you get to Mauville with those games, too.
