I suggest if you're going to cheat, don't get the ticket, just get a warp code to Navel Rock. Ticket codes often don't work well, or need an enabler code to make them work. It's easier in my opinion. Just make sure you turn off the AR or whatever (some codes say you can hold down the right button to make the warping stop) when you get there or you just keep warping to the same spot and can't get to the Pokemon itself!
If they do a Pokemon event it will be a while most likely since they just did the biggest tour hitting almost every city at malls across the country all last year, but you can always check at Pokemon.com for all news Pokemon related.
