The game itself was corrupted, it never happend to me.

Master Volthawk answered:

You probably turned the game off when the game was saving. The file was corrupted, causing you to make a new game. Sorry for your luck :(

Zelda Fan answered:

Erased?, do you mean started over?, it's suppose to do that when you beat the Elite Four, but it's not supposed to delete your memory.

Either your game was messed up or I don't kno that sounds wierd

BBG_CREECAT answered:

Sounds like your memory got completely erased! Did that cartridge get wet or overheated or did something else weird happen to it? Did you go on a plane? They sware it won't damage anything, but after my AR went through all the detectors, when I went to use it, it's memory was ALL GONE! No preloaded codes, nothing! (I had a great way to get Pokerus and it was so cool, & with such good codes I get lines at every event I go to! All gone, and I didn't even infect any of my own Pokemon!) My games are OK, but sometimes that x-ray stuff or those anti-theft scanners at stores will screw up memory, even on credit cards and other stuff.
However it happened, the hardest part to accept is that it's gone for good, no way to recover it, as far as I know. If you registered it or recently got it, you may be able to send it to Nintendo and see if they can work with it to restore the memory-if nothing else they'll probably give you a new game or put a cool surprise item-maybe a rare berry-into your game. That's what they did when R/S games stopped growing berries after one year-you sent it to them, they did an update, and put a Leichi Berry or something in it, too, but you can update the berry program yourself now, but that's besides the point. If you think your game is damaged, send it back, they'll check it and give you a new or like-new one if yours is screwed-up most likely. Call or e-mail them first to make sure they'll help. I'm very sorry that all your hard work was destroyed. I hope you didn't have anything super special in it, like a Nintendo ticket or rare Pokemon download!! :-(
