Question for Pokemon Emerald

How exactly do you catch a feebas? There are people who say you have to catch it with a certain rod , can someone tell me which one or can you use all three, is there a certain saying or no,how long does it take? I know which route it's on.

Thanks!!!

There are 6 'tiles' on that river where Feebas might be. The locations are randomly determined by the phrase you make up in Dewford. There's no easy way of doing this. You have to fish each tile (or step/square) on that river a number of times to check what fish are available in it. I usually fish in each direction on each tile. Any rod will work, but it makes sense to use the old rod so you only get weak Pokemon eg magikarp biting so you can beat them quickly and move on to the next tile. Feebas are usually Level 20-25 when they do bite. Once I find a tile with Feebas, I make sure I catch loads, both male and female. I also mark the location on my guide book and make sure never to change the trendy phrase. Good luck!

Zelda Fan answered:

Try to fish for it from Dewferd island, and use the super rod.

Okay feebas is on route 119.
You need to have the old rod.
Then you go fish for him.
But first you have to change the trend on dewford island.
Then you go and fish at every square id say at least 3 times.
Ive got him like that.
Hope I helped.
See yah,

First of all I'm not sure about using an old rod... Using a super rod, you have a good chance of catching him. But using a good rod, you have an even better chance of catching him. So use a good rod. And there is no certain saying, it just depends on which 6 spots Feebas is in (on route 119) by the saying there is/you put in. And YES it takes a long time. But sometimes you'll be lucky and run into him right away. But the chance is slim (:D) Soo yeah.

I am pretty sure you need to cheat to get it

david_banner answered:

Well I've tried to catch it but never been able to find it. But I know it's on 6 compleley random water tiles on route 119 which you know. Ive heard using the super rod is the best because the only other thing you can catch with it is carvannah, but I'm sure you can get it with all three rods, youll just get different levels. I don't think the actual words in the saying tell where the tiles are to be it just changes to 6 random tiles each time you change it. It could take as short as like 15 minutes or as long as 3 hours but if you want one youll have to be patient and lucky.

Ok I have a lvl 70 Milotic so I no how this works (lol). Ok, you no were the tall tall grass is? Next to that guys house who has like 10 wingull's across from his house there will be a little lake. At the top is were you'll find a feebas. (Use an old rod). To evolve it you have to give it alot of blue pokeblocks & max out it beutey then level it up once.^_^

godzillaboy96 answered:

The best rod to use is the Super Rod. It takes some time to catch unless youre lucky. The area is between Fortree and the weather institute.

cyber_john3000 answered:

You can use any rod but theres six tiles in the river in route 119, the six tiles contain the feebas so they are very hard to catch. The tiles changes every day.

singebeliever87 answered:

Well, only the super rod will do. As for the sayings, the man/boy standing outside of the fan club will tell you a saying. This is the location of the feebas on the route. But when his sayings change, so does this pokemon's location!

Happy hunting!
