Question for Pokemon Emerald
I traded some Pokemon from Fire Red to Ruby. I restarted my game in Emerald and tried to trade the Fire Red Pokemon to Emerald but it said that I can't get those Pokemon yet. When can I get the Fire Red Pokemon?

You need to get the National Dex from Bit... I mean Birch... After you defeat the Elite4.

Youre going to have to get the national dex first. Beat the elite 4 and I think you need to have caught 60 kinds.

Hey I had the same problem when I tried to trade over my level 100 Jolteon from my Leaf Green to my Emerald. If you auctually have a read through the instruction booklet at the trading section, you will find your answer. But sinse you probably can't be bothered to do that (as many people arent) I will tell you anyway. You must defeat the elite four in order to trade Pokemon over from the games Leaf Green and Fire Red. On Fire Red, I take it you have already found the sapphire/ruby and taken it to Celio who will get the machine up and running for you to trade to the Hoenn region. If you havent, you have to do that first before you can trade to Sapphire, Ruby and Emerald.
Hope I helped and please people don't go asking questions that are right infront of your nose! (Unless you have lost the instruction booklet!!)

You can get them when you entered the hall of fame and when you recieved the national dex from professor birch.

Unlike ruby and saphire, you have to get a national pokedex in order to get firered and/or leafgreen pokemon.

Once you get the national Pokedex (after beating the E4, obviously).

You need to get over 60 Pokemon on your pokedex then go to professor birch then he will upgrade it to national dex.
Ps Im not sure if you have to beat the elite four as well.

Ok.
In fire red you need to beat the elite4.
Next,u need to have both gems (ruby and saphire) and give them to celio.
In emerald you need to bee the Pokemon legue chamion.

In leaf green you must give saphiere to celio then in ruby you finish the game even I do not trading but I know it !!!!!
