I forgot what level is tate and liza is but raise your Pokemon abput 5 level higher that their pokemon. If you still keep losing then cheating is not a bad way.

girlygirl101 answered:

Train them up a little more and have good water Pokemon because water is super effective to their pokemon.

Pokedex38 answered:

Ah, yes. Solrock and Lunatone, if trained to Lvl 100, would be probably the most poswerful duo in the game. They'll easily knock out two Water Pokemon twice their level in one hit.

However, Dark and Ghost isn't neccessarily the way to go. All of Tate & Lizas Pokemon have one type I like to call and 'Elemental' and one I like to call a 'Special' (in this case, Psychic). Exploit their Elementals! A Surf will take down Lunatone and Solrock pretty quickly (but not from Swampert - they'll SunnyDay/SolarBeam you for a one shot kill). The same applies to Claydol, and Xatu will fall pretty quickly to a zap from your electric type (you do have one don't you? If you don't, the Elite Four is going to be a trifle harder).

Hope I helped
