How do you get to use mail in this game pokemon emerald???

As with all other games that support it, Mail can be attached to a Pok�mon and can be traded to friends or sent to a Mailbox when records are mixed in order to maintain a correspondence. Pok�mon with Mail attached cannot be placed in a Box.

Well, uh... You see... The mailbox you're thinking of doesn't hold mails as in emails... It actually holds letters you obtain in trades or of which you buy (such as mech mail). The letters say a message, normally useless, but if you get one and then put it in your computer, it really goes into the mailbox. So, you really can't use any mail in this game unless you trade a Pokemon holding one. Otherwise, a letter is totally useless.

You can attch mail to your Pokemon, and put it in your PC.

I think only the harbour mail is useful in emerald because you can trade it in Mauville city (I think - the one with the casino) for a coin case

Harbour mail is the only useful mail as you can trade it to a lady in her house in mauville for a coin case the rest are used for trading mail through the game link cable
