Using GameShark cheats are not always straight forward, so remember to save your progress before you enter a cheat in case things go wrong. We also spotted a great piece of advice on that second link which is:
'When you catch the Pokemon deactivate the cheat. BEFORE you return to the normal screen. Meaning deactivate it when you are given the chance to give it a nickname or when you are looking at it's PokeDex. That should solve the name problems.'
