When you look at the pokemon's stats it's condition will have pkrs,and from what I've heard as you grow levels,it raises stats abnormally fast (if speed goes up one point before, I guess then it would go up more than one while with the virus), its very rare,so if someone gets it, throw it in the pc and have it spread.

Pokemon csn get the pokerus randomly; usually from running from many battles. The pokerus may sound bad, but it is actually very helpful. It gives them more experience from battles. You'll know you have it when you heal your Pokemon at a Pokemon center and the lady there starts talking about your Pokemon having pokerus.
P.S. Pokerus only stays for a short time so use that time wisely

Pokerus makes your Pokemon grow faster, it's a good thing trust me!

Click on the Pokemon and check it's status it'll be where it would say burned or poisoned.

I think it helps your Pokemon grow faster. Not to mention every step you take, one of your pokemons stat increases by one. To help your Pokemon keep it, put it in your PC. If you want to spread it, heal your Pokemon team. Pokerus is a very good thing! Rate this answer.
