Question for Pokemon Emerald
They say to get another starter Pokemon you have to help professor birch escape the pokemon.
But when I talk to him all he says is "hi alok.Are you curious how your pokedex is ?" then the national wide basis,how many you caught & saw." But that's all he says.
HOW DO I HELP THE PROFESSOR ESCAPE THE WILD POKEMON??????????????????????????

Ok, first of all... THAT GOES WAY BACK TO THE BEGINNING OF THE GAME!!! Although, you can get another starter. What you have to do is catch the 202 Pokemon of Hoenn, and go to Prof. Birch's lab. You can then chose one of the three Jhoto pokemon.
I personally think that those starter Pokemon were the best of all the other starter Pokemon in all the games. Don't you just agree with me? Anyway, I think you were confusing with getting ANOTHER starter Pokemon with your FIRST starter pokemon.

Whoever told you that is wrong, or you have misheard them. You have to save birch from the Pokemon at the beginning to get your first starter.
