Question for Pokemon Emerald

Hi um, I pretty much just started the game and, well sorry if my question sounds dumb, but I've battled my rival person 5 times and I had Torchic as my starter Pokemon, so he had Mudkip which had evolved into Marshtomp, and I was just wondering if there is another time that you battle your rival because doesn't Mudkip have 3 evolutions? I was just wondering because I wanted to be able to get the 3rd evolution into my Pokedex and I don't know where else to find one.

Sorry if this question doesn't make alot of sense. Oh and I've beaten the Pokemon League, so does that mean I get to battle him again now? Or do I have to do something else? Well, thanks!

No for some odd reason when you fight your Rival it only lets you see his pokemon's second evolution. (Even after the Pokemon League)

Sorry but you can not battle your rival after the Pokemon league with the third evolution

You have to use a ar or gameshark modifier code.

Or you can trade it from another game, or battle (via link cable)someone that has it and it will be on your pokedex.

There IS a 3rd evolution for Mudkip, but you won't face it in a battle against your rival.
