Question for Pokemon Emerald

I Have a myboy emulator on my android phone and I want to trade and battle with my friends, I watched a youtube video and they said that you can trade but when I tried it, I kept saying that we have different save game.. What does that mean ? What should I do ? Please help :(

You are using different ROMs. To counteract this, one of you needs to send their .gba from file to the other. The other person then needs to rename the .gba file to whatever their current Pokemon rom file is (meanwhile move or rename the file they usually use) and put it in the same folder as their .sav file. Then their saves should load on to a compatible rom. (The GBA file you sent them)
