What is Berry Update, like when you press B and select on the Rayquaza..

Hi!

Ok I've had to have a berry update myself so I know what it is. Its when in your game time stops for no reason so you can't grow berries anymore. So you have to send your game cartrage to Nintendo and they give you a berry update which fixes the problem.

They also give you a shiny zigzagoon thats holding a leichei berry for your trouble. It's got nothing to do with anything at the beginning of the game or anything like that.

It's designed to update the berry program for the Ruby/Sapphire games. If you read the screen, it mentions that. If you use a link cable, put Emerald as Number 1, and the Ruby or Sapphire as Number 2, then get to that screen in Emerald, but don't have the other GBA on yet. Follow the instructions on the screens, and turn the other GBA on like they tell you to, and it should automatically begin to try and update the berry program on the attached Ruby or Sapphire. It will either update it for you or let you know it doesn't need to be done. The Colloseum bonus disc does the same thing when you link up to it to get Jirachi...
My friend's Saphirre, incidentally, also lost it's clock like in the post b/f this, and I was unable to update his berry program because of that(he can no longer grow them, so I put a bunch into it for him with an AR), but it's good to know he could've sent it to Nintendo to get it fixed..
