I am getting emerald today and I would like a oppinion on what starting..

Get Treecko. He is the most underused, but he is the best!

I like mudkip

It depends who you prefer, They all have strengths throughout the game Treeko and Mudkip do well throughout the Gyms but Blazikens strong when he gets to the elite four, Your choice

I choose Torchic but yor choice

Torchic is okay, but Treecko is one powerful starter who learns powerful attacks, so I would say one of those two.

If you are new and a beginner I recommend Treeko because he will help threw the first gym and he is also will evolve in to the 2nd stage Grovyle at Lv. 16 and will evolve in the final Sceptile Which is a very fast and strong Pokemon at lv. 36.

Mudkip is for the stage of gamers. He will he you greatly against your first gym too. He will evolve in to Marshtomp a dual type water-ground Pokemon at Lv. 16. Then his final stage a Swampert has a extremely powerful atk. And all his others stats at lv. 36. His speed is average though.

Last is Torchic. This Pokemon is for advanced trainers. He will not be very much help early in the game but he will help you in the mid-end. He will evolve in Combusken at Lv. 16 which is a dual fire-fighting type pokemon. At Lv. 36 he will evolve into Blaziken will is basically about power with a strong sp. Atk and atk.

I chose torchic and he is now a Blaziken which is cool. However I still obtain a treeko and mudkip from my brother by doing alot of restarting and trading.

They are all strong and each one is better than the other so which choice is helpful some part of the game

I would say torchic because it's a good fire type and you need a fire type to be able to beat the elite four easier.
By the way, catch an electric Pokemon like magnemite(catch it in new mauville, I'm not sure where else you can get it) and an ice type like spheal (catch it in shoal cave, the cave is near Mossdeep City so you can't get it for a while) for the elite four.
Don't forget to get the shell bell because when your Pokemon do lots of damage it really helps.

Mudkip

I would choose choose torchic because it can learn 4 different type moves like normal, fire, fighting, and flying. The others only learn their type moves.

There is no good or Bad poke'mon. I would pick Treecko because the grass type is effective against most of the gyms in the game. I picked treecko myself, so maybe you would have a different opinion.

I think that you should get a torchic because torchic is stronger than treeko and mudkip, plus when it evolves into it's last form it looks cool.

Well in my opinion torchic makes the game medium but easiest when at blaziken mudkip makes the game very easy throughout the whole game and treko makes the game imposible.so it maters how much of a challenge you want I picked torchic.

Treecko is good for the gyms, but when you get to the Elite Four, it SUCKS. I think Torchic is best. For the first gym, just get it to level 16. It evolves and learns Double Kick(fighting type).

Mudkip, he can beat most of the gyms and he surfs for you

Personally I would get treecko but it's your choice who you get if you get treecko you could catch a really strong water and fire type like garodos and torkoal and if you get torchick or mudkip get a strong grass one like tropius
