One fossil you find at the top of Mirage Tower in the Desert; take one and the tower collapses, and the other fossil disappears. After the League, however, the Fossil Maniac will have dug a deeper cave, the Desert Underpass, from his cave at the back of his house; at the end of the Desert Underpass is the fossil that you didn't pick up the first time.

To get the the fossils first you need to go to mirage tower, when you obtain one of the fossils. Collect your badges and beat the Pokemon league the head to the fossil maniac's house and go through the hole and got all the way east til you come to the fossil
Note : there is some Ditto in this cave wow a Pokemon breeder helper around level 40.
