1. What is a Nintendo event and where are they?
2. In Crystal, you needed these feathers to get Ho-Ho and Lugia. Do you need something for Groudon and Kyogre?

Nintendo Events are special events in which Nintendo gives away special Pokemon and Items.It depends.
No, you just need to beat the Elite Four and then go to Terra Cave and the other place for Kyogre[forgot what it is called].
