Is there such thing as the Pokemon virus in emerald? If so what does it do and how can I get it?

I believe it was called Pokerus. Just like shiny Pokemon, you have to search for it. Really good if you're EV training, but hard to get. You're in for quite a search if you're wanting it... but it's easy to tell whether your Pokemon have it or not. Just take it to a Pokecenter, nurse should tell you if you have it.
