Does the m in (M)code stand for master code that unlocks all action replays?

Yes, the (M) code is the master code. This code must be activated before any other cheat code is selected because if is not activated first, then none of your cheat codes will work like they are supposed to. I do not know what you mean by unlocking all Action Replays, but, if you have an Action Replay, then you need to make sure that you are certain that you are using the right Master code. What I mean by that is that you need to be absolutely sure that you are using the Action replay Master code, and not the Gameshark Master code. If you accidentally switch the codes up, then it could really complicate things.
