My game deleted after beating the elite four and the champion

You can get it repaired but I'm not sure where.

Usually, if you hagve a game for a long time, sometimes the data will just delete. It happens to me and Pokemon Sapphire. I've had it since 04 I think, and now it just deletes. I think it may be because you play it too much and it just ges overworked. I'm not sure if there's anything you can do about it though.

Do you wait till after the credits because if you turn of your gameboy before the credits are over sometimes it will delete your data

It happens if you use gameshark throughout the game, the corrupted data will delete you save file and you'll have to restart the game. Don't use gameshark until you beat the elite four and the battle frontier or it'll delete. This works the same way with Ruby and Sapphire versions. But you can beat Pokemon Fire Red/Leaf Green with gameshark and it won't be deleted.

I had this problem too in vba and gameboy it happens all the time after I defeat the Elite Four.Even if you don't use cheats it still happens.I know someone that has Pokemon emerald and doesn't have this problem

I have always had terrible luck with Pokemon emerald it's a curse. I first played Pokemon diamond, then all then Pokemon games since but for gba slot on the ds lite I bought and old Pokemon emerald of ebay. I played it for a few days before it deleted all the save data it did it again and again for a few weeks before I stuffed it in a closet and forgot about it. Then a year ago I tried again and got to mosedeep befor the same think happened. I heard about emulators and tried to find one but a few weeks ago I did and started playing Pokemon emerald. It took me a while to figure out how to use it but it worked. I was happy, it was fun, it deleted all my save data again ten minuits ago.

It's probably because it's an old game. All Pokemon gba games corrupt if you had them for a long time. Does it on my emerald to, didnt used to couole of years ago

Dont defeat the champion just defeat elite 4 and you will get the national dex

Go to Options - Emulator - Save Options and change it from 64k to 128k. You will unfortunately have to start a new game though. However, if you have this selected from the start, the game won't erase itself after the Elite Four and the credits. Hope this helps!

Do you have it on your pc/emulator because yeah the same thing happened with my bro and I found out there is a way you can maybe prevent it from happening... Go to options then emulator then click save type and go to flash 128k.. Do it before challenging wallace and you're game will continue hopefully

Is there any way to retrieve your lost emerald data once the game automatically deletes it after you beat the Wallace?

It's so annoying when that happens, imagine, you went through lots of time and trouble to get all of the Pokemon, now you only need the ones from Johto, you defeat Champion Wallace (In Emerald) and then... "Data was ereased due to corruption or damage" I HATE THAT.

What I can tell you is that if you play in VBA, you can use GS and CB to skip everything and go straight to the Battle Frontier, however, you won't get the National Dex or the new area at the Safari Zone.

I have the same problem,my save always deleted after defeated the elite 4 and Wallace in vba.I played emerald 3 times and still same thing happen to me,moreover,when I save and reopen the game,it says your file is corrupted,something like that,but still can continue the save.

I've had my game for 6-8 years, but only started playing it again recently. After finally defeating wallace and going through the credits, my game just said the saved file is corrupted and has been erased. Start a new game.
Mine might be because it's a fake copy - I got it cheap from a market abroad - but it's incredibly annoying. I'm pretty sure there won't be a way to get it back - gone is gone after all. Sorry for everyone :( it sucks big time

What I did was this I saved after I defeated the champion using file save game I erased all the cheats in cheat list. Then I went to options I click real time clock. Then went to save type click automatic then I clicked flash 128k. Then after it saved I closed the window then put it back it still says corrupted etc but it works I just finish doing it a few minutes ago

The game is fake. If it says on the back of the cartridge AGB-004 it's fake. It has to be AGB-002 to be real.

It probably erased because you haven't played it in a long time? But if it keeps deleting your data, it may have a bug/virus in it. I play on my phone emulator and now I'm scared I'll have to start from scratch D: On an actual Gameboy Advanced, I'm pretty sure you can get the game fixed but in NZ, that stuff doesn't happen so I'm not certain. On a PC, save before fighting Wallace in one save slot and then after in another. My older brother did that and, even though one was corrupted, he kept playing on the other save.
I really have no idea otherwise, being younger than 15, but I hope I helped somehow, despite only having played Emerald on MyBoy! Free from the App Store. But I hope you get your game back

Ok guys. I am using a Pokemon emerald from which I had downloaded online!! A fake one!! But it still saved for me because just when I started the game, I immediately went to check if everything was ok. I went to options and clicked emulator Save Type and then click 128k. Because if you click this, you are basically saving it in a way that there will be more place to save your save areas. SO even if you cheat, nothing goes wrong. But remember, before you use any cheat, save it first but using shift+ F1 and shift+ F2. This is to make sure that your screen doesnt go blank incase you use a wrong cheat. ANd right before you battle the elite 4, you have to save (shift+) using, F1, F2, F3 AND F4 in case..

I played it on my ds and guess what, IT DELETED MY PROGRESS WHEN I WAS BASICALLY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STORYLINE but I wasnt playing it, WTF!

Mine was deleted after I beat the elite four as well because I had used a gameshark to obtain certain Pokemon I had wanted. After I beat tbe elite four I noticed my Ampharos (which I had caught using gameshark) had a mystery under it's pokedex number. I think that is what may cause this problem. Yes I used vba to get the game but I also own a real version of emerald as well.
