1. Kappa are a monster-like thing. When you turn on your GBA (when it gives you the choice to continue or start a new file) it shows the kappa. It's the green thing towards the right of the screen. There's also a picture of it in the room behind the supermarket in the top left corner.

2. You can either get them from the supermarket and grow them, or you can use the AR cheat.
