Hello This is my review on Final Fantasy X. This is my first review so please take this into consideration whilst reading. I have completed Final Fantasy X now about 15 times and I thought I would give my opinion on the game for anyone who has not bought this game yet but is thinking of doing so.
The graphics as a whole are good and above average for the time it was made. They are very consistent with the graphics throughout the game the quality does not drop at any point. However there are a few cutscenes in the game which will really blow your mind. The beginning cutscene where you are introduced to Sin your main enemy in the game is amazing and certain other cutscened have been blessed with the same magic as this one offers.
Sound is okay, not brilliant in some places though. The opening sequence has a great rock tune which fits perfectly with what is happening at that point. However there are some points in the game where the music will be very reppetetive and will get annoying if you spend too much time in that particular area. The character voice overs are great, real 1st class performances from all voice actors I am sure you will not be dissapointed.
The gamply is simple and easy to get the hang off, even people completely new to the Fianl Fantasy series will get the hang of it after a few battles. All battles are turn based and strategy is important to win some of the boss battles. Movement is simple and all actions of the game are explained in detail. There are plenty of mini games to keep you amused if you fancy a break from the main story line including a sport called blitzball. Blitzball is an underwater sprot played in a sphere of water, it is the knid of sport you will eaither love or hate but for those of you who hate it you only have to play it once if you wish and you do not have to win.
Final fantasy X has great replay value and the minigames can keep you entertained for hours. The game itself if played properly can take up hours of gameplay to comlpete. There are ways of flying through the game in under 20 hours however to get the full Final Fantasy X experience areound 50 hours of gameply is needed at the very minimum.
Overall 9 out of 10 (i'd put 9.5 out of 10). I was tempted to go for 10 out of ten but I will not as nothing is perfect. For those of you who have not yet bought Final Fantasy X but are thinking about it I defiantely reccomend that you do I am sure you will love it. All in all a fantastic game with an amazing story line which will keep you on the edge of your seat till the very end. I beleive this is the best in the series to date and it is definately a must have for your collection. Happy Gaming
