Full Review for Final Fantasy X by MisterLink1890

Introduction

All I have to say about this game is simply "Wow". It has the most in depth story of the whole final fantasy series and I still play it today every now and then, almost ten years after the release. If there is any game that is a MUST but for the playstation 2 it is this game.

Graphics

At the time of release there was none better, nowadays you might think they are shabby, but this game showed us what the PS2 was really capable. There isn't much polygon intercepting either, and the lipsynch isn't horrible but could have used a little more work, other than that it was all great and mind blowing!

Sound

Sound Effects- these were the original Final Fantasy themed sounds you would expect, and as always I love em'!

Voice- The voices for each character is perfect, and all have great audible quality.

Music- This is one of the many areas where this game excells over all the others in the seires. The music is all new unique and just plain give you eargasams! All of the music is perfect for the surroundings and just listening to some of the ones from the sad moments in the story is enough to make you swell up and want to play it again.

Gameplay

The typical final fantasy experience, turned based and easy to understand. There are still random encounters and the very excrutiating boss battles. There is also a new thing called blitz ball which is like an under water version of soccer that is really fun to play once you get good at it, and it even has a stat system like the rest of the games mechanics.

Lastability

Well I'm writing this review ten years after the first time I played it what do you think? The story is so gripping and sad that it pulls you in over and over, wanting more every time! I have played through the game at least five times fully and every time I get close to zanarkand or hear a fleeting dream from the OST I find my self in tears wisihng the story could have been longer than it was.

Overall

This game is amazing, a must buy for any playstation 2 or 3 owner that dosn't already own it. The story grabs you in and mixes with the music and characters you could find yourself depressed that it's over oinly to play again and again for years to come. I GUARANTEE this game will be worth the buy especially at it's new price even if you don't like the battle mechanics you WILL like the story and LOVE the music. A definet 100/10!
