The key to being successful in FIFA 20 is to maintain possession of the ball and put away the chances you get. Check out our Ball Control Tips and Tricks to find out how you can give yourself the best chance possible of putting the ball in the back of the net when you have a chance to score.

Open Goal

Stop sprinting if you have an open goal in front of you and are surrounded by lots of space. If you continue to sprint it will make scoring more difficult.

Take your Time

When you have an open goal in front of you take as much time as you can before shooting. The further you are out, the harder it is to make the goal.

Shoot at an Angle

When you attempt a shot at goal always try to shoot at an angle. If you shoot straight, the ball will more than likely hit the goal keeper. If you angle your player before shooting, especially with finesse, you will give yourself more of a chance of putting the ball past the goal keeper.

Fake Shots

If your opponent knows you are going to shoot they will have a good chance at blocking the shot. If you throw in a fake shot every once in a while you will not be so predictable and it will keep the goal keeper guessing as to where you are going to place the ball.

Pass the Ball

Consider passing the ball across to your teammate if you get on goal don't have an easy angle to score from because the goal keeper is in the way. It's more than likely your teammate will be in a position to put the ball into the back of the net without too much difficulty.

Heading the Ball

Try to get in front of your opponents defender to give yourself a better chance of beating them in the air. It is important that when you attack the ball you time your header correctly or else the ball will end up over the bar. You also need to make sure you use the right amount of power, if the header is too weak it won't beat the goal keeper and if it is too strong the ball will sail over the bar.
