Complete the Order Board

Once you have completed the tutorial, you are free to do whatever you want in Farmville. It is recommended that you begin by working on the tasks that are on the Order Board. These are basically simple missions that typically consist of delivering products that are produced on your farm. Although initially they may not seem important, these tasks actually give decent rewards, but in order to get them you must first fill the progress meter above the list. Rewards you can expect to receive include new animals for your farm and extra money. Always check your Order Board to see if there are any tasks ready for completion and if there are any prioritize them to earn their reward.

Claim your Discovery Rewards

When you are unlocking new breeds of animals, it is important that you remember to claim your Discovery rewards, as they will help your game progression considerably by allowing you to level up easier. The only way in which you can level up in Farmville 3 is by acquiring XP, which is done by receiving animals and breeding them.

Whenever you get a new animal a star icon will appear above its head which you can then click to receive XP. The amount of XP you acquire will depend on the animal and also how you received them. Breeding the animal will usually give you more XP than receiving them as Order Board rewards. Every time you breed an animal on your farm you will unlock a Discovery reward that will consist of items that will help you advance in the game, these include things like gems and fields. To claim your Discovery rewards, you just need to click on any animal and then the exclamation mark icon or check the conditions required to unlock the said rewards.

Remember to Feed your Animals

The livestock and animals you acquire needs to be fed, and food is not produced automatically. To get food you will need to regularly tending your fields as most of the foodstuffs and products with which you feed your animals comes from them. It is therefore important that you are always sowing plants, harvesting them, and then turning them into animal feed using your Feed Maker, so you have enough for all the animals. Make sure as you progress in the game you build more Feed Makers as you unlock them, as doing so can multiply your production of animal feed.

Always Build New Fields and Feed Makers

Make sure you build new fields and Feed Makers as soon as they become available in order to increase your production. It is essential that you have as many fields as possible as this is where the raw materials for your foodstuffs and products that you feed your animals comes from, and your production is limited by your influx of raw goods from those fields. Remember that as your farm grows, your animal population increases, and you will need more animal feed to keep up production.

Increase Productivity of your Farm

Farmville 3 is unlike the previous two games in the series in that it revolves mostly around breeding and raising livestock and making items from their produce, or simply using the raw materials to complete missions. It is therefore important that you always keep your animals fed, so they are able to produce goods. Although you can use gems to speed up the production of your animals, it is recommended that you avoid doing this and instead be patient and boost the productivity of your farm by continually feeding your animals as often as possible.
