The only way to earn EXP in the game is by winning story and field battles to get Experience Points (EXP). The other members of your team that did not take part in battle will still earn 50% of the EXP gain. Aside from that, there's no other way to farm EXP aside from battles. However, there are some things that you can do improve the amount of EXP gained, as listed below:
* Performing Magic Chains and Link Hunts can provide bonus EXP
* Upgrade the Library to increase the amount of EXP gained by inactive characters
* Remodel the Library to increase the Fairy Gauge fill rate and allow you to perform Magic Chains more often.
