Updated: 21st Sep 2023 by Team SuperCheats
The currency used in Fae Farm is Florin and it is used to upgrade your equipment, tools, and resources. It is also needed to upgrade the cabin. Unfortunately, it is not easy to come by in a playthrough when following the main objective. This How to Make Money in Fae Farm guide will tell you the most efficient ways you can earn it.
How to Make Money in Fae Farm
As you mine, curate your farm, romance NPCs, and craft potions in Azoria, you will want to earn some money to upgrade your homestead and more. Fortunately, there are a couple of items that you can craft early on in Fae Farm that you can use to help you make money, these are the Stone Forge and the Gem Polisher.
- How to Craft the Stone Forge
The Stone Forge is an outdoor construction item that enables you to smelt the ore that you have collected in the mines into metal ingots. Metal ingots are essential for upgrading your tools so they are able to break through tougher materials and they can be used to make bricks out of materials like stone. Metal ingots can also be used for crafting decorative and useful items.
In order to craft the Stone Forge in Fae Farm you will need to collect two materials - 25 stone and 10 coal. Stones can be gathered in your Homestead's yard by pressing the A button on your Nintendo Switch or interacting with any small rock on PC. Your pickaxe will be automatically selected when performing this task.
You can collect coal by heading to the Saltwater Mines. You can search for this location on PC by opening your map, if you are playing on the Nintendo Switch you can press the minus button on your controller to open your map and then select the Saltwater Mines on the far right to place a tracer showing you how to get there. When you reach your destination you have to interact with the black lumps of coal to automatically mine it. Stone can also be found at the Saltwater Mines.
Once you have collected the requirements you need to return to your Homestead where you will be able to craft the Stone Forge just outside your house in your yard. To begin crafting you need to be standing in your yard. On the Nintendo Switch you just need to press the 'down' button twice on your controller where you want to place it.
If you are playing on a PC you open the 'Outdoor Construction' followed by the 'Build Catalog' and navigate to the crafting tab using the L and R buttons on your mouse. The Stone Forge is the fourth item on the list, select it by pressing the A button on your keyboard. Once you are happy with where you have positioned it press the A button again.
Building the Stone Forge in Fae Farm will allow you to smelt metal ingots, bricks, and glass anytime with the items you collect in the Saltwater Mines.
- How to Craft the Gem Polisher
The Gem Polisher is a workbench in Fae Farm you can build that can make raw gems from dungeons into more profitable jewels. It is crafted by making two Iron Ingots from Saltwater Mines in your forge. Then, get 20 Rough Citrine and 15 Rough Peridot from Saltwater Mines. The best raw gems to polish are Aquamarine, Topaz, Emerald, Diamond, Rose Quartz, and Sapphire.
Gem polishing is without doubt the most lucrative way to get money in Fae Farm. Providing you have all the floors in Saltwater Mines unlocked with seals on them for easy teleporting and a Gem Polisher you can easily get over 50,000 Florins in an hour.
The video below will demonstrate how it is done. It is advised that before you start you eat food like Fish and Mushroom Soup to keep your energy and mining efficiency up while farming.

Sell Things
The easiest way to make money in Fae Farm is to sell the things you have in your inventory you don't need. Everything from the crops you grow to forage can be sold for a decent profit. You may want to consider using the power of crafting to take your raw materials and make them into something more valuable which you can then sell at the Town Market.
Mining
Another way you can make money easily is by mining. Once you have crafted the Stone Forge and Gem Polisher you will be able to convert the ore and gems you find into better versions. Mining in Fae Farm is simple, just walk up to a piece of ore and left-click your controller or mouse on it to whack it with your pickaxe. Once you have hit it enough times the ore will break allowing you to gather it and take it back to your homestead for smelting.
Keep in mind that as you progress through the dungeons in Fae Farm the ore and gems you find will be more valuable, they will also be stronger which means it is essential that you upgrade your pickaxe in order to break them quickly. Doing this should be one of your priorities along with making Dungeon Seals.
Harvest and Cook Huckleberries
Throughout the landscape of Azoria you will find huckleberries. Gather as many of these red berries as you can, then char them at your cooking fire to increase their value. These cooked huckleberries can then be taken to the market and sold to make a decent amount of money.
Fishing
Fishing is a good way to earn money in Fae Farm. During the introductory chapters of the game, the Mayor will send you to speak to Eddy. He can be found outside his fishing shop in Stay-a-While Bay and he will give you your first fishing rod. Take a look at our Fae Farm Fishing Guide to find out everything you need to know about the fishing mini-game.
