Whenever the game starts, it prompts you to choose among three different tasks to fulfill while normally playing the game. These quests are mainly simple tasks that you have to do in order to obtain bonuses for your hero’s special ability. For instance, these quests may require you to collectively use at least 18 Gold (through summoning units on the play field), using a specific number of higher performing units (the ones that costs at least 6 gold or more), using a number of spells, etc. The three quests you may choose from are randomly generated, and it would benefit you more to pick the ones that are easier for you to fulfill during the earlier part of the battle.

Once you have completed the quest that you’ve picked, you’ll be rewarded with the card it randomly generated (when you were prompted with the choice of three quests, the right most side card) along with a choice of alignment for your hero. You have to choose whether you would take the path of good or evil similar to the alignment system popularized by the franchise. When you take the upgrade, you’ll see that your hero’s icon changes and will gain a buff in its ability. The color of your hero gleams bluish in color if you picked the good path, and red when you picked to leans towards the evil path.

You are generally allowed to complete up to three quests per game (although it is most likely none beneficial to actually do so), but take note that your hero power would not be upgraded more than once. The probable use of this is to change your path from good to evil or evil to good as they provide different buffs to your hero’s abilities and may benefit you differently depending on your situation.
