How to get Free Gems in The Elder Scrolls: Blades

The premium currency in The Elder Scrolls: Blades is Gems and they are used for a number of things in the game. These include speeding up the opening of chests, buying chests from the in-game store, speeding up construction times for buildings, and buying missing crafting or construction ingredients. There are several ways that you can get free gems if you do not want to purchase them using real money, these are listed below:

Random Drops

Although this happens rarely there is the possibility that a single Gem will drop from an enemy's body after you have killed them.

Search Dungeons

Although this is not the most reliable method it is possible to find free Gems by simply searching dungeons and smashing jars, crates or anything else that is breakable. You can identify breakable objects by their glow.

Reward for Leveling Up

Whenever your character levels up you will recieve a reward, there will be times this will come in the form of 30 Gems. To level up you must earn XP by defeating enemies or by completing Quests or Jobs.

Complete Quests

Check the rewards for the various Quests if you are in desperate need of Gems as they are often given out as rewards for completing them.

Check out our Shop Offers page to find out about the different offers you can spend your Gems on when you reach a specific level.
