Listed below are the different seasons and what you can expect from each climate along with a few tips that will hopefully help you survive them.

Mild Season

This season lasts 20 days by default, the nights are short and the days are long but as you approach the end of the season the nights and evenings will get longer. When you reach day 10 you will start to experience light hurricane winds and rain to let you know that hurricane season is coming. In mild season it is not necessary to have rain protection as it doesn't rain long and you can dry out at a campfire when the storm dies down. During the mild season you can survive an entire night with just 1 Torch so take advantage of this time to explore and find as mant islands as possible while the sea is fairly calm.

Hurricane Season

This season lasts 15 days by default and they are marked by long nights and evenings and short days during which time you will experience rain, hurricane winds, and significant amounts of lightning. During this season you will not be able to catch butterflies or fireflies and your base will need a Chiminea and if you can afford it a Lightening Rod.

Monsoon Season

This season lasts 20 days by default and as it progresses the days will get longer and the nights shorter. At the start of this season you will have 3-7 days of nice weather before it begins to rain which you should use to prepare for the dry season by finding a swamp. When it does start to rain puddles will form on the ground and begin to expand quickly and flood structures. These puddles will also spawn poison mosquitoes after the first rain ends until the dry season begins. If you have Seashell Armour or a Horned Helmet the poison mosquitoes become non relevent. Also, throughout this season Bees will be aggressive.

Dry Season

This season lasts 15 days by default and is marked by very long days, very short nights and evenings that get shorter as the season peaks. There is also periodic volcanic eruptions that increse in frequency as the season near its end. The volcano eruptions can be delayed by offering items to the altar of snackrifice which can be found inside the volcano. Unless they are protected by a Flingomatic plants can wither and become unable to produce this season. If you have the Dumbrella and Floral Shirt you can prevent yourself from overheating. Explore during this season as much as possible because if you are caught at your base when an eruption starts your base will be totally destroyed.
