How to get and Farm Legendary Gear in Diablo Immortal

Legendary gear in Diablo Immortal is powerful equipment designed to go in one of your character's 6 Primary Gear Slots - Head, Chest, Shoulders, Legs, Main Hand, and Off Hand. Getting hold of these hard to find Legendary Gear items will be one of your top priorities because of the flexibility and power they can give your character. Take a look at our How to get and Farm Legendary Gear guide to find what the best way is to get hold of these Legendary items.

How to get Legendary Gear

The drop rate of Legendary items in Diablo Immortal is low, keep in mind there is a possibility you may hit the game's level cap and not find a single piece of Legendary gear in the world. Listed below are the many activities in the game that can increase your odds of finding Legendary gear in Diablo Immortal, so you will not have to rely on Rare and Magical items during the late game.

- Open World: any Rare Elite or monster may drop one.

- Dungeon bosses

- Raid bosses

- Kion's Ordeal reward

- PvP Faction Reward

- Rite of Exile Reward

- The Vault Reward

- Kill of the Day (random Daily Reward accessed in the Shop)

- Battle Pass Rank reward

- Horadric Altar (Bestiary reward % drop chance)

- Elder Rift guardian % drop chance

- Challenge Rift guardian % drop chance

- Challenge Rift Level reward (every 5 Levels completed)

- Hilts Trader (But don't waste Hilts on this.)

- Seasonal Event (purchased with Obols currency in the Seasonal Event exclusive Shop)

- Treasure Chests (very low % drop chance)

How to Farm Legendary Gear

Although in Diablo Immortal you cannot spend money to purchase specific Legendary items there are various ways you can spend money to greatly increase your odds of earning Legendary items. One of these ways is to buy a Legendary Crest from the Cash shop or crest merchant which will make the probability of a Legendary item dropping from a rift run increase substantially. Even if you do not get a Legendary item from the rift run you will still earn Hilts and these can be taken to the Hilts Trader in exchange for a random Legendary item. Keep in mind that you will only be able to purchase one Legendary item a week from the Hilts Trader. You can still earn Hilts. Another way to increase your odds of getting Legendary items is to subscribe to Diablo Immortal's premium Battle Pass which will enable you to earn more Hilts, Legendary Crests, and Legendary items.

If however you are a free-to-play gamer and have no intention of spending real money on Diablo Immortal you will still be able to get hold of Legendary items. The difference is that the process to earn them is a lot slower. When you reach level 10 of the free-to-play Battle Pass you will be rewarded with a free Legendary item. There is no specific spot in Diablo Immortal that guarantees a Legendary item, so unlike other games there is no way of farming them by going there and continuing to kill the enemies that are there until one drops.

What you can do to improve your chances of getting a Legendary item is to raise the game’s difficulty level to Hell 2 (this can be achieved by reaching level 60, which is Diablo Immortal's level cap). Then head to Westmarch and open your map, there you will see an icon that looks like a skull. Select that icon and pick Hell 2 as your desired difficulty. By doing this you will have made Diablo Immortal a lot more difficult, Elite enemies and bosses are now more dangerous than before and the regular enemies can also kill you a lot more easily. It is therefore advised that you don't attempt this unless you have a powerful character that has some decent gear.

What you need to do now is look for Zone Events, these are global occurrences in Diablo Immortal that occur at a set times and are repeated at regular intervals. When you participate and complete these events you will get greater rewards. As you are playing on Hell difficulty you will increase your Legendary drop odds considerably. There are a lot of Zone Events in Diablo Immortal that can be completed without having to do a lot. As long as you get enough attacks on the Zone Event's objective you will be eligible for the rewards that drop when the events are completed.

Aside from Zone Events you can use the same method of playing on the highest difficulty level you can survive on and play the dungeons and rifts. If you are playing on the Hell Difficulty setting you will be able to check with your Codex to see which dungeons have a higher chance to drop Legendary items.
