Purple Orb Fragments Locations

Scattered throughout the game's missions are Purple Orbs and 8 Purple Orb Fragments. Devil May Cry 5 allows you to replay levels whenever you like so you can revisit areas to collect any Purple Orbs or Purple Orb Fragments you may have missed. Gathering all 8 of the Purple Orb Fragments will grant you two upgrades to your Devil Trigger Gauge.

Nico sells the remaining 5 intact Purple Orbs to give your Devil Trigger up to seven full upgrades. With a fully maxed out Devil Trigger Gauge, the achievement 'The Devil’s Own' will be unlocked.

Purple Orb Fragments

Listed below are the Purple Orb Fragments locations and what tasks you need to complete before you can pick them up. Check out the video at the bottom of the page if you need more help finding them.

Mission 4

You will be able to find the first Purple Orb Fragment in the game immediately after the bridge collapses in Mission 4. Once this has happened head towards the building on the right side of the tracks to find the Purple Orb Fragment inside.

Mission 5

Once you have defeated the Empusa Queen in the contruction area in Mission 5 head straight ahead into the next hall. As soon as you walk out from under the metal ovehang you need to climb onto the pile of construction materials and turn around to face it. You will find the Purple Orb Fragment on top of the metal overhang you just walked under. You will need to jump and use Griffon to glide onto the platform to pick it up.

Mission 9

After dropping through the large hole to enter the catacombs in Mission 9 you will encounter some enemies. After killing them search the left wall for a wooden door. Break down the door using V's third demon, Nightmare. After killing the enemies within a short cutscene will trigger revealing the Purple Orb Fragment on a pillar.

Mission 10

After reaching the timed door with teeth in Mission 10 you need to continue on the main path on the upper level until you come across a White Orb. At this point you need to immediately turn right and jump onto the pathway above where you will encounter enemies. After defeating them the Purple Orb Fragment will emerge.

Mission 11

Upon approaching a small rooftop platform in Mission 11 Dante will comment that the area looks like it is going to collapse. If you quickly defeat the enemies you encounter here a Purple Orb Fragment will appear in the way ahead.

Mission 12

In Mission 12 when you encounter two Nidhogg Barriers you need to head through the bottom door and defeat the Blood Sac. Once you have defeated it you need to keep heading forward and to the right to discover a side room which will contain a Purple Orb Fragment.

Mission 14

Before destroying the first Blood Clot in Mission 14 you will come across a forking road. The Blood Clot is down the right path. After defeating it you need to backtrack to the fork and take the alternate route to the left. Upon doing so a Red Orb will appear on the left side of the screen. At this point you need to turn right and look down for a ledge that has the Purple Orb Fragment on it. When you spot it you just need to jump down and collect it.

Mission 16

In Mission 16 drop down through the second hole and defeat the enemes that are there. Ignore the alcove illuminated in blue and jump down into the next hole instead. Defeat the enemies that confront you and then carefully climb down on the platforms descending down until you reach the final Purple Orb Fragment in Devil May Cry 5.
