Best Weapons Guide

In Corruption 2029 there is an array of weapons your squad can use on the battlefield, the six types include Pistols, Rifles, Shotguns, Sniper Rifles, Flamethrowers, and Miniguns . Each of these different types of weapons is defined by three characteristics - the damage it causes, its attack pattern, and its ammo capacity. Damage

Although every gun in Corruption 2029 will cause damage, the specific amount will depend on the type of weapon it is. There are instances where a gun may not cause substantial damage but will instead have a higher chance to inflict critical damage.

Attack Pattern

The attack pattern of a gun is defined by how it is fired, some are single target guns while others may cause AoE (area of effect) damage or fire in a cone, hitting multiple enemies if grouped.

Ammo Capacity

Ammo capacity refers to how many shots the gun is able to fire in a single clip before having to reload he weapon. This will differ depending on the power of your weapon, the smaller lighter guns will have a higher ammo clip, where more damaging firearms will have you reload after every other shot.

Noise

Although not a characteristic of the gun, the amount of noise the weapon makes is a vitally important factor in Corruption 2029 as the stealth mechanic means making noise will alert the enemy of your presence and bring them to your location.

Pistols

Pistols in Corruption 2029 do not do much damage but because of their large ammo capacity they make a perfect backup weapon. The best of the two pistols on offer is the HP-23 Silenced which because it is silenced means there is no need to worry about enemies hearing you when you fire it. This makes it an ideal weapon when you need to employ stealth to complete an objective. The HP-23 Silenced has a damage of 4, critical damage of 5, and an extra 20% critical chance. It has a clip of 3 and a range of 10 tiles.

Rifles

In Corruption 2029 rifles are your semi-ranged weapons and are able to deal high damage to a single enemy. Their accuracy though will decline the further away you are from your target. The F26-Silenced is the best of the two rifles being offered in this category due to being silenced. The big downside to this rifle is its single shot ammo capacity. The F26-Silenced has the damage of 4 and critical damage of 6.

Shotgun

The ZEBRA SG-33 Shotgun is a very short-ranged weapon that fires in a cone and becaue of its AoE is ideal when facing enemies that are hunced together. The closer you are to your target the more accurate and damaging your shots will become. The ZEBRA SG-33 has a damage of 5 and critical damage of 8. It will also knock back enemies that survived.

Sniper Rifle

The RAK 52 Sniper is a long-ranged weapon and is currently the only Sniper Rifle in 2029. It is a high-powered single shot weapon that is the only weapon in Corruption 2029 that is capable of penetrating through walls. Accuracy of the RAK 52 Sniper increases upon distance, the downside of this weapon though is its single ammo capacity and the noise it makes upon firing which will bring the enemy to your vincinity. The RAK 52 Sniper has damage of 4 and critical damage of 6, with an extra 15% critical hit chance.

Flamethrower

There is currently only one Flamethrower in Corruption 2029 and it is capable of dealing a significant amount of damage over a large area. This AoE weapon will leave deadly flaming puddles in its wake which you will need to avoid if you have to move through the area.

Minigun

The most destructive and powerful weapon in Corruption 2029 is the Boyo Max 15 Minigun and will cause devestation when unleashed upon anything that is within its cone. The downside to this weapon is it needs reloading after every barrage and it cannot be used behind cover.
