Atelier Sophie 2 The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream Beginner Tips and Tricks

Listed below are several Beginners Tips and Tricks which will help you in Atelier Sophie 2 The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream.

Twin Actions

Make sure when you are fighting bosses that you perform the Twin Actions move whenever it is available. The Twin Actions move is where two characters attack with their respective skills consecutively. The reason you should do this is that this ability uses less MP than performing the attacks separately, offering you the chance to inflict more damage to your foe in the battle. TP (Technical Points) are required in order to use the Twin Actions move, and they are earned by performing basic attacks or blocks during combat.

Support Guard

Another move you should use whenever it becomes available is the Support Guard action which enables a member of the back row of your party to protect a member that is in the front row when they are being attacked. Members of your party can be freely switched from the front and back rows, you just need to keep track of each member's HP and use this ability at the right time. Support Guard works the same as Twin Actions in that Technical Points (TP) are required.

Dual Trigger

Dual Trigger is a powerful move which when used at the right time can turn the tide of battle. Before you can trigger this move you must fill up the DG (Dual Gauge) 100%. Once the DG is full simply select the two members of your party that you want to perform the attack. The more DG used, the stronger the move will be. DG can be accumulated by using the Twin Actions and Support Guard moves.

Do Party Quests

It is essential in order to progress in Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream that you gather resources, so you are able to craft and earn AP. The reason why this is important is that certain items are locked behind a character's level and the only way some of them can be unlocked is by accumulating AP to invest in the character. The best way to earn a lot of AP so that you level up a character quickly is to complete a member-specific Party quest.

Visit Crystal Sparkle Pavilion

In Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream, Sophie uses the town of Roytale as a base of operations as she searches for her missing friend Plachta. If you visit Crystal Sparkle Pavilion, Sophie will be able to accept a wide range of requests from the local townspeople and if you complete them you will earn rewards that will raise her reputation. As Sophie's reputation increases she will receive materials and more challenging quests that will progress you further into the story and unlock more locations to get rare rewards.

Max Gather in Locations

In Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream you will be rewarded when you gather as many items as possible in one location. Keep in mind new resources can be collected from old spots When you level up your tools or a character's ability. Try to gather as many of them as possible, so you fill up your inventory. Once full return to your atelier and transfer the items inside your container, then return and repeat the process.

Do Not Auto Synthesize Gears

Unless you are making bombs or ointments it is recommended that you do not auto synthesis. The reason for this is that it is essential in Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream that you link the same element multiple times in the cauldron for improved effect, and putting the game's synthesis on auto while crafting a gear will result in downgrading the product's quality to D or E. It is therefore more beneficial that you do it manually, being in control of the puzzle will also give you a chance to create a high-quality product for endgame content.
