Broken Resources Count Glitch

If you go to the start menu you can see the current amount of resources that you have as indicated above. Sugar, Rum, Metal, Wood, etc. are all indicated there. As far as I know the cap limit for each one is 500 pieces, although I'm not sure about the correct, exact count.

Let's say you currently have 450 for Wood. That means 50 plus more and you will reach the limit. Now if you conquer an enemy ship and you loot the 75 Wood that they have, instead of adding that amount to your Wood Count and putting it at 500 exactly, this glitch for some reason does not add up that amount to your Wood Count. Instead, it adds the 75 pieces to ANY OTHER RESOURCES NOT REACHING THE 500 LIMIT YET. The broken adding is totally random from what I have noticed so far.

This is extremely frustrating especially in situations like the last missions. The final missions demand you to have your hull armor upgraded to at least Level 4 to be able to survive the tough naval battle. Level 4 hull armor upgrade asks for 500 Wood, now if your Wood Count keeps resetting and not reaching the required amount because of the glitch, that's where the frustration starts.

To overcome this, look at your exact Wood Count first. Say You have 450 Wood. That means you only need EXACTLY 50 MORE. Check the horizon using RB, locate a ship that has the amount of Wood you need or more, then tag it by pressing A. Look at the enemy ships Wood Count, let's say that Level 29 ship has 75 Wood. That means if you try to get those Wood, it will not add to your Wood Count since it goes 25 pieces more over the limit. What you do is let go of the wheel, head down to your ship's cabin down below. Go to the ship upgrades table and sell off 25 pieces of Wood, which is the excess amount once you get the loot later. Go back up and fight the enemy ship, then grab the loot once you're done. Since you already have 425 currently, add up the 75 loot that you have -- 425 + 75 = 500! That's an exact amount and it will add normally since it does not go over and glitch up. There you have it, just keep doing this same solution for other resources to save you all the headaches and enjoy!
